Digital content is not new for Burlington Public Library–we already offer digital materials through wonderful services like OverDrive, Kanopy, and Freegal. These have been well loved and are still available to you. So, why are we so excited to welcome hoopla to our digital content family?
What makes hoopla unique?

- Can’t remember that title you borrowed a few months ago but didn’t have time to finish? No problem–look for it in your borrowing history!
- With hoopla, you never have to worry about late fees because content is returned automatically at the end of its lending period.
- Going somewhere without WiFi? Take hoopla with you by downloading your materials. Or, when you have WiFi, save space on your device by simply streaming content.

Hoopla gives you a wide variety of formats with many options to customize your experience, and more choices gives you more control of your digital content. So, how does this really work?
Burlington Public Library provides each user with 6 borrowing credits per calendar month. Use hoopla to browse content, then borrow what interests you. Once you borrow a title, you use 1 of your 6 monthly credits. You can borrow videos for 3 days, music albums for 7 days, and audiobooks, eBooks, and comic books for 21 days. You can use additional credits to renew items. No worries about due dates – with automatic returns, there are never any late fees!
